CLIENT AGREEMENT

To ensure the best possible coaching service is provided, I commit as a coach the following to my clients:

1. To communicate in a direct and honest manner in the best interest of the client. This includes delivering “hard truths” and to do so in a compassionate manner with dignity.

2. To treat my clients with the utmost respect, speaking to them in a way that is non-condescending, non-threatening, collaborative and respectful of their viewpoint.

3. While it is important for the coach & client to develop a strong camaraderie & friendship, I commit to maintaining a strictly professional relationship with my clients at all times.

4. To operate within my professional scope of practice for legal & ethical purposes, and to refer out to an appropriate health professional as required.

5. To seek permission from clients before publicly sharing their personal information, images, or name (unless they have already publicly shared this information).

6. To uphold the long-term goals and health of the client above all else, and consider the consequences of any coaching decision in this light before making recommendations.


COACH AGREEMENT

“To maintain the best possible client standards, I commit to uphold the following code of ethics:

1. To communicate in a direct and honest manner to my coach, in the best interest of improving my coaching experience & achieving my goals.

2. To treat my coach with the utmost respect, speaking in a way that is non-condescending, non-threatening, collaborative and respectful of their viewpoint.

3. To maintain professionalism within the coach-client relationship. This includes communication style & appropriateness of information/photos provided for check-ins.

4. As an athlete/competitor. To maintain honour & integrity which includes following the rules of the organisations in which I compete, remain drug-free, take responsibility for my actions, display professionalism as well as integrity upon winning and losing.

5. To act respectfully & with compassion to those in my community including the show of support to fellow athletes, clients & members.
